Zero Art Fair & Summer Exhibitions
What even are you doing if not these two things?
Hello!
In a few weeks (July 19-21) I’ll be participating in Zero Art Fair during Upstate Art Weekend. From the ZAF website: “Zero Art Fair is an experimental way to match artworks with people who want to live with art but can’t necessarily afford it. Developed by artists Jennifer Dalton and William Powhida, the fair uses a ‘store-to-own’ contract to offer artworks free of charge, but with strings attached.”

“What does that mean for me, the average Chris Moss Studio Newsletter reader?” you might ask. It means you can and should plan a physical, real life, in person visit to Zero Art Fair where you’ll find artwork from hundreds of artists’ back catalogues on view. All of the work is available for hanging on your very own walls of your very own home (or office) should you volunteer to house the work for five years, at which point you could own that very work so long as. . . well, I trust you can read the whole premise for yourselves at the link beginning this paragraph.
The fair is being held at 365 West Pond Lily Road in Elizaville, NY. The fair is open July 19-21 from 11am until 6pm Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
ICYMI at Theodore: Did you miss it? It is difficult, the buzzer ringing and the elevator taking and all the hallway walking you’re expected to do in order to get to Theodore is rather difficult, I admit. We can’t do anything about most of that, WE CAN’T MAKE YOUR LIFE EASIER TO LIVE, PEOPLE! This encore exhibition of artists recently shown at Theodore aims to alleviate you fear in the missing out department.

In Case You Missed It, an exhibition highlighting some of the artists that have exhibited in the gallery over the past three years is open now at 373 Broadway, F10, NY, June 28 – August 9, 2024, gallery hours Thursday-Saturday 12-6 pm
Perhaps you did miss the latest issue of Impact Magazine! I’ve been working with Arts Southeast for the past few years, ever since Jon Witzky came over for a studio visit and saw some of my remix.jpg work. It was his insistence that led to printing some of the peanuts work in something close to the original intended format. Since then I’ve been included in EVERY ISSUE of Impact so far!

That’s one of my favorites at bottom left there.
Don’t tell Jon yet but there may be new work on that front sometime in the future (though I hardly ever feel like spending my free time glued to the desktop, so this “new remix.jpg work” remains to be).
Thank you, that is all. As always, find me on Instagram where I’m redefining what it means to be an artist in the 21st century, Facebook where I’ve taken to meme posting about our dog, Rufus’ daily walks, or simply reply to this email if you’d like to say hello. If you feel so compelled you can also forward this email to anyone you think might enjoy it, and of course you can always tell your friends about me and my work (and how to get some of it for free later this month!!!).
